Here it is, this year’s version of my annual Frequency mix! I started doing this mix-CD for my Saturday night residency at Necto nightclub in 2007. My good friend and former resident at Necto, DJ Binzo, also released a couple of these CDs before he moved on to bigger and better things. Over 600 copies of this CDs are distributed for free each year, as a “thank you” to our regular patrons who have made Frequency Saturdays such a monumental success.

For more than five years, we have been sold out and packed every Saturday night. And that is quite a feat! We are a relatively big nightclub in a college town that loses thousands of students every summer when they return to their hometowns. We are located in a state where the winters are brutally cold and you can’t escape snow between mid-November and April. The unemployment rate is over 15%, which tops the nation. Despite all these factors, we have the most loyal and amazing group of people who have kept this night going strong, and the end is nowhere in sight. I have to also say thanks for the hard work and support to the staff at Necto – club’s owners, managers, bartenders, bar-backs, doormen and the maintenance staff – for making it such a great place to work!
